How to Play

Play Time Connect online for free. Time Connect is a timed 20-stage watch-themed Mahjong Solitaire game. Match tiles with identical clocks to clear them from the field. Remove the entire field before the timer runs out. Watch out for tiles with bombs; clear them as early as you can to add to your play time. Pair the slow and stop watches to slow down or stop the count on the bomb tiles. This game is rendered in mobile-friendly HTML5, so it offers cross-device gameplay. • Levels are unlocked sequentially:
                      • Only the first level is playable at the start of the game.
                      • Finishing one level automatically unlocks the next one.
                      • There are 20 levels in the game.
                        • You can’t replay a previously beat level without starting the game over from the first level.
                        • If you reload the game, you have 2 options:
                          • Continue from the last level you’ve unlocked.
                          • Start a new playthrough. This will erase your previous progress.
                            • Basic Rules
                              • Select identical pairs of tiles to remove them from the field.
                                • The tiles must be connectable by a single line with no more than 2 right angles.
                                • Adjacent pairs of tiles can also be selected and removed.
                                • Slow clocks
                                  • The slow clocks make time on the exploding tiles move slower for 30 seconds of play.
                                  • Slow clocks can be stacked (e.g. you can have hundreds of seconds of slowing by selecting many in a row).
                                  • Slowing time can be stacked across levels.
                                  • Stop clocks
                                    • The stop clocks make time on the exploding tiles stop completely for 30 seconds.
                                    • Stop clock time can be stacked & can also be carried across levels.
                                    • Watch out for exploding tiles!
                                      • These are tiles with a timer.
                                      • Should the timer run out, the game ends.
                                      • When you defuse these tiles double the time shown on them is added to your remaining time limit for the level. For example, if they show 90 defusing a pair of them would add 180 seconds or 3 minutes to your remaining time.
                                      • Remove all the tiles on the field before the level’s timer expires to clear the level.
                                        • You start the first level of the game with 10 minutes on the timer.
                                          • Later levels have shorter time limits.
                                            • The level timer goes down 30 seconds per level.
                                            • On the final level the level timer is only 30 seconds.
                                            • Tiles
                                              • The first level has a grid of 4 by 6 tiles, for a total of 24 tiles, or 12 tile pairs.
                                              • The final level has a grid of 8 by 11 tiles, for a total of 88 tiles, or 44 tile pairs.
                                              • Run out of time before clearing the entire stack, and you lose the level.
                                                • You can always start over again.
                                                • Alternately, you can end the game there and save your progress.
                                                  • Scoring
                                                    • Scoring is cumulative in this game. Your score from one level carries over to the next.
                                                      • Every pair of tiles you clear adds 50 points to your total score.
                                                      • You also receive a combo bonus based on the number of pairs you clear within a few seconds.
                                                        • Your base score, granted after clearing 2 tiles in rapid succession, is 30 points.
                                                        • The longer the chain of pairs, the higher your bonus. The bonus goes like: 30, 60, 100, 150, 210, 280, 360, 450, 550, 660, 780, 910, 1,050, 1,200, 1,360, 1,530, 1,710, 1,900, 2,100, etc.
                                                        • Your remaining time when you beat a level is worth 30 points per second.
                                                        • There are two ways to save your total score:
                                                          • Play through all 20 levels.
                                                          • End the playthrough after a game over.
                                                            • Assistance
                                                              • You have 2 assistance options.
                                                                • Hints: Selecting the hint button will show you any valid pair of tiles.
                                                                • Shuffles: Shuffles rearrange the tiles on the field.
                                                                  • This is useful if you want to make more obvious pairs.
                                                                  • The game also automatically shuffles the board whenever you run out of moves.
                                                                  • Both these options cost points:
                                                                    • Hints cost 200 points
                                                                    • Shuffles cost 300 points.
                                                                    • You only get 3 of these each for every level. Each time you clear a level, the game restores the number of these you have.
                                                                    • Strategy
                                                                      • If you play this game well most of your game score will come from remaining time on the clock when you beat the levels.
                                                                      • The key to maximizing your remaining time is to try to carry over slow time from level to level and to get a stop clock early in the level, then hit all the exploding tiles to add to your play time.
                                                                      • After hitting a stop tile & matching any easy to match exploding tiles feel free to shuffle the tiles to keep enabling yourself to match the exploding tiles to add to your total play time.
                                                                      • Try to save one stop tile for the end of the level so that you can carry over stop time into the next level and maximize the time recovered from paring the exploding bomb tiles.
                                                                      • Target Audience
                                                                        • The game is suited for players who like Mahjong Connect tile match games.
                                                                        • The game has no adult themed content.
